Fred is known as a book author and harp musician. He has been working intimately with trees over 20 years, but also with religious history, mythology, archaeology and ethnobotany. His chapter demonstrates the intimate connection that our ancestors had with the trees, in material and spiritual terms.
The abundance of symbols representing human history on the subject of trees may also be an inspiration to decorate didgeridoos with the local symbols rather than to use Australian motifs.
