Alistair Black: (Interview with David
Lindner)
The Didjeridu in Mass Production
At the beginning of the 1990s (the first real boom decade) Alistair Black was one of the most popular exporters of Australian didgeridoos to Germany and many other countries around the world. Striking back then was the high level of craftsmanship and aesthetics offered by Alistair, compared to many other exporters. He offered painted didgeridoos, superior sound quality and less expensive instruments.
The interview, conducted by David Lindner, gives us an insight into a not very typical mass production.
